In 1900 an old palace in Dominowo was converted into an evangelical church. It is now a catholic church of St. Andrew Bobola. In the commune you can find historic village Giecz which was one of the most important settlements in the 11th century. During the reign of Mieszko I and Bolesław Chrobry, it was a powerful administrative and military centre. The area of the former settlement is called “Grodziszczko", where nowadays there is a museum of archaeology. Wooden and soil rampart has survived till today. Foundation of Romanesque duke’s palladium with  round chapel similar to church from Ostrów Lednicki were discovered here. We can also visit preserved church of St. John Baptist from 1767 and Romanesque, made of stone church of the Assumption of the Holiest Virgin Mary from the second half of the 12th century.
