The Old Market Square with the historic tenement houses is the heart of Środa Wlkp. The most significant historic facility, the gothic collegiate Assumption of the Holiest Virgin Mary parish church from the beginning of the 19th century, is towering nearby.

The next facilities drawing our attention are the General Jan Henryk Dąbrowski monument (situated next to the water tower and funded in 1997 by the society of Środa on the 200th anniversary of Polish anthem “Mazurek Dąbrorowskiego” creating) and the monument devoted to victims shot by the Nazis (situated opposite to the sugar factory).

Koszuty is situated west of Środa Wlkp. by the way to Poznań. In the village tourists can find the manor house built for Józef Zabłocki in the 18th century and enlarged in the19th and the 20th century. Presently, it is a residence of the Museum of Środa’s Land.

General Jan Henryk Dąbrowski, co-creator of the Polish Legions in Italy, used to live in Winna Góra, village situated east of Środa Wlkp. In 1807 Napoleon gave him mansion house in Winna Góra, where nowadays we can visit exhibition of General Dąbrowski. Other worth seeing facility in the village is baroque St. Michael Church from 1766, enlarged in 1912.
